THE GREAT I AM PART II In the Old Testament there are many warnings to the Priest; of how IF he does not instruct and watch over his people they will be LOST out in the World. For the world is like a Consuming Evil Force, once someone becomes a part of it, they can easily be LOST FOREVER. As this comparison is made in the Old Testament concerning the Priest, in the New Testament the comparison is used concerning the Shepherd and his Flock of Sheep. The WARNING is equally Strong and is to be Heeded. IF the Shepherd does not Watch and Care for his sheep, they will Wander away to be Attacked, Killed and Consumed by the Enemy. This is why it is VITAL, Not only for the Priest/Preacher to Watch over his Congregation/Flock and the Shepherd to diligently watch over his Sheep/Flock; lest they be caught up/pulled into or killed/destroy by the enemy/world. A Sheep or Human is most vulnerability then it has not eaten or is not being fed. The sheep is fed when its Shepherd takes it to where the grass is and it CHOOSES to Eat. A Human is fed when they CHOOSE to STUDY/CONSUME the WORD of GOD which is the WORD(BREAD) OF LIFE. In order to RESIST something or someone that would Destroy us, we MUST be Strong and we Will Be Strong as we Consume the ONE THING that Gives us Strength....THE WORD OF GOD. HERE IS OUR WARNING: YESHUA/JESUS SPEAKS I AM the GOOD SHEPHERD: the GOOD SHEPHERD Giveth HIS LIFE for the Sheep. But he that is a hireling, and Not the SHEPHERD, whose the Sheep ARE NOT, seeth the wolf coming, and Leaveth the sheep, and Fleeth; and the Wolf Catcheth them, and Scattereth the sheep. The hireling Fleeth, Because he IS hereling, and CARETH NOT for the sheep. I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD, and KNOW MY SHEEP, and AM KNOWN OF MINE. As THE FATHER KNOWETH ME, Even So KNOW I THE FATHER: and I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR THE SHEEP. JOHN 10:11-15 What a Beautiful story this tells. David, who was once a Shepherd, when interviewed by King Saul, before his battle with Goliath, testified that he had killed a Lion and a Bear that was trying to kill and eat the sheep. NOTE, David was Willing to Lay Down His Life For the Sheep. NOT ONLY was our LORD, YESHUA/JESUS WILLING to lay down HIS Life for you and I, the Sheep....HE DID. HE WAS KILLED....SACRIFICED...SHED HIS BLOOD....REDEEMED US....that we may have ETERNAL SALVATION....and be able to LIVE for ALL ETERNITY WITH HIM. WHAT A SHEPHERD. Note the last verses, YESHUA/JESUS NOT ONLY KNOWS THE FATHER, HE IS KNOWN OF THE FATHER...and HE stated.... I....... NOT Roman Soldiers, NOT JEWS or GENTILES .....I means HE, HIMSELF....LAID DOWN HIS LIFE ....FOR YOU AND ME...HIS SHEEP. And other Sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear MY Voice; and there shall be ONE FOLD, and ONE SHEPHERD. Therefore doth MY FATHER LOVE ME, BECAUSE ....I.... LAY DOWN MY LIFE, THAT.... I ...MIGHT TAKE IT AGAIN. NO.. MAN.. TAKETH IT FROM ME, v.16-18a These are some, if not The Most Powerful verses in Scripture. LOOK at JESUS Words..... I....(no one else did it) LAY DOWN MY LIFE......THAT I MIGHT TAKE IT AGAIN. NOT ONLY did GOD THE FATHER give GOD THE SON, the POWER to LAY DOWN (Choose to Die For Our Sins) BUT ALSO......The POWER TO TAKE AGAIN.....ARISE FROM THE DEAD. THINK on this for a few minutes. What DIVINE LOVE....what LONG-SUFFERING LOVE.....what MERCY.....what GRACE...HOW CAN WE NOT LOVE SUCH A ONE. NOW HE gives us WORDS to Tell ALL who will Listen.....NO MAN TAKETH IT FROM ME. Just as a Shepherd who is out in the field with his sheep makes a Choice....to Die for his sheep....or to let them be eaten by a wild animal. David chose to Fight for his sheep......as Did HIS XXXX Great Grand SON, YESHUA/JESUS. Just as David was King....so will YESHUA/JESUS ONE DAY REIGN as KING. I have POWER to Lay IT Down, and I have POWER to TAKE IT AGAIN. THIS COMMANDMENT HAVE I RECEIVED OF MY FATHER. JOHN 10:18b FATHER GOD, Thank YOU for GOD the SON and HIS Willingness to Die and Live, that ALL who BELIEVE IN HIM, may have Eternal LIFE. Thank YOU for so Great a LOVE. FATHER, Bless, Encourage, Strengthen, Protect and Draw my Family and Friends (and myself) ever Closer to YOU. This is always my prayer. IN THE BLESSED NAME OF YESHUA/JESUS. Amen.
