THE GREAT IRISH WATER ILLUSION! #irishwater IW is a plc, public Ltd company, under European law - no European citizen is obliged (can be forced to) enter into any contract with any plc, this includes any range of products or services, ie electricity, phone etc, as such we all have the right too choose whether to enter into contract or not, thus the great illusion of Irish water, the application pack, this is the same as if the Nigerian lottery sent you an application pack, jus fill it out and you have won 1million US dollars. No, sign the application, sign the contract! That is the great illusion of Irish water! Oh, and another part of the great Irish water illusion under European law, water is a basic human right and should be available to all people rich and poor, so even if they wanted to, the cannot turn off your supply! Lately it has come to light that IW has no way to reduce the pressure so they couldnt cut you off if they wanted to, and if they did, they would b breaking European law! And think about, the water infrastructure is so bad that an entire overhaul is decades overdue with over 50% leakage around the country... A system so advanced that it could cut off/reduce pressure on individual homes would cost more money than currently exists on earth. If any of the water charge went toward infrastructure I may not be as disgusted by this entire debacle. But how much of the initial 40million investment went on Infrastructure? 0... Nothing... And how much of your fee will go to infrastructure in the foreseeable future? 0... Nothing has been outlined. Every penny this far has gone on administration fees. And why? Because they are perpetrating the great Irish water illusion! I knew we paid for water through general taxation. In the 70s/80s, another government decided to increase the road tax rate and include charges for water and other local services through the road tax fee. So if you have a car and pay Road tax, then you are paying for water twice... Through General taxation & Road tax. So the Great Illusion of Irish Water... Is to make you pay for water a third time!! All you have to do is fill out the application pack, so you get the allowances you deserve.. Haha what a joke this whole thing is... Fill out the application and you fill out the contract! If the scaremongering fools enough ppl then the great illusion will save the government from having to reduce what is the highest wage bill for any government in the world... Their own... Thats right, they want you to pay to flush the toilet, but they couldnt consider a slight pay cut even though our own Enda gets paid more than Obama! That my friends is the great illusion of #irishwater. That is the reason 40million investment went to administration fees... Thats a good rate for an illusion to fool an entire population! But the great illusion gets even better... After turning down siemens, the company which installed water meters throughout the UK, Phil Hogan gives the water meter installation contract to our old pal Denis O Brien... You remember Denis, he got the contract 4 esat telecoms, bk in the 90s and when he sold it on less than ten years later he moved to Spain to dodge the 50 million in tax he owed on the Billion he made when he sold the company. You may also recall the moriarty tribunal.. The 14 year tribunal which only ended 7 months ago, which cost the taxpayer 200 million plus. The tribunal to see if Denis donations to the then government had anything to do with being awarded the most lucrative deal in Irish history.. Well the tribunal, after 14 years... Said no. And so, after turning down the option of using siemens, a company with experience (installed all UK water meters) and offering a fixed price, we go with the vastly more expensive option of getting a company with no experience to do the water meter installation? I wonder why? Oh yes, Denis, our old friend who had the phone company, hes just the man to run the water installation, sure the moriarty tribunal said hes a good lad, well give it to Denis! THE GREAT IRISH WATER ILLUSION! DONT BE FOOLED!!!! Sign the application, you sign the contract. Its that simple. NO CONSENT. NO CONTRACT. RETURN TO SENDER. Water is a basic human right. This is European law. As a European citizen, you have a choice. Say no. Send back the application.
