THE GREAT WEATHER LOCK DOWN..... By the time that you finishing reading this, youll either think Im delusional, bat shit crazy or Im spot on and the Feds will be coming for me. In a sense its like entering the twilight zone. Im sitting here in Northern Metro New York about 65 miles from the center of Manhattan and supposedly on track for 2 feet plus of snow due to the monster blizzard of 2015. Since yesterday the media has beat the drum for one of those Mother of all Storms. This was going to be the big one. Today schools closed for today and also tomorrow. Tonight New York City suspended operation of their mass transportation system (commuter trains, subways and buses) Both New York City and New York State have closed all roads, highways and parkways to all vehicular traffic with no reopening times announced. New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and South Eastern Pennsylvania followed suit with the closed roads etc. The National Guard from these states are also being used to monitor for stranded motorists and enforce the no drive policy. Each State also declared a State of Emergency as the back drop. Hurricane type winds have been forecast and predictions of massive scale power outages have been broadcast. As usual, there has been the standard big storm panic buying in super markets, hardware stores, vehicles being topped off with fuel creating lines in a number of areas. Airlines in the North East and around the Country have canceled thousands of flights scheduled for yesterday and today. Its 12:05 A.M. EST here where I sit and its a very, very light snow falling. So fine that you have to go out in it to feel it rather than see it. So fine that nothing is accumulating. As recent as one half hour ago, the weather maps are showing a very different picture of what is going on blizzard wise. Since daybreak yesterday there has been at best an inch or so of snow accumulate. Not one word of the storm shifting out to sea and no map televised showing a shift as well. Well ladies and gentlemen, I believe that we have been duped, scammed, bamboozled or whatever you want to call it. A heavily populated corridor of the North Eastern United States has been effectively locked down late yesterday and for probably most of today. I realize that we have several hours left of the storm traveling North East but the Great Blizzard of 2015 has been a total weather bust but we have parts of 5 heavily populated States under lock down. What exactly is this? A dry run for the Big Lock down? The beginning of the Big Lock down? Or the delusional theory of an old NCO salivating for that one last fight? Stop and think about this. Barry is out of the Country and away from any potential bang, bang shoot em up. I got to believe that this has been more than a storm hyped and then fizzled. What to you think???
