THE GREAT WOMEN BEHIND GREAT MEN Behind every great man stands a woman; behind every man stands a great woman; behind every successful man stands a woman. These are three different versions of an old saying, best remembered as a feminist slogan of recent When you think about it however, it rings true. How do we respond when we hear about the man whose mother gave up everything to give him an education, the woman who worked 3 jobs to raise her children, and the woman who stands silently in the background as her husband rises to power as a statesman, businessman, politician, or educator? Men rise to soaring heights when the women in their lives nurture, support and encourage them to be the best men that they can be. Even the Prophet’s of God benefitted from the wise counsel of the women in their lives. ‘The best women of humankind are four: 1. Mariam daughter of Imran 2. Assiya, the wife of Pharaoh 3. Khadija, daughter of Khuwailid 4.Fatima the daughter of the Messenger of Allah These great women, in their own individual ways, supported and encouraged men whose lives were fraught with danger and monumental change. Mothers, wives, daughters; the influence these women have over the men in their lives is remarkable. Islam calls these women the best of humankind. MAY ALLAH ENABLE OUR MOTHERS BE THE WOMEN BEHIND GREAT MEN AND WOMEN AS HE ENABLED THOSE BEFORE US
