THE GREATEST LEVEL OF FAITH - HEBREWS 11:1-16 Great champions of faith come out of great fights and many times they crossed the bridge between facts and a person. They got to that place that they exchanged untrustworthy facts for a trustworthy Lord. There are some times you don’t know what is ahead but you know who is leading the way. There are some times that I tell my wife “come we are going somewhere” and she says “where are we going” but I just say “let’s go.” At that time, she exchanges fact for a person; she’s not going with me because she knows where we are going but she is going with me because she knows me. There are times that you step out on prophecy not because you know the details of how it is going to happen but because you know the One that spoke to you. The highest form of faith is not the one that you are just depending on the facts written alone but upon the Writer. There were men that walked with the Lord before the flood, there was no Bible. God just appeared to Abraham and He said come with Me, he asked where? But the Lord said I will show you. No wonder God was not ashamed to be called their God; they were looking for a city which had foundations, whose builder and maker is God. The faith of these men became the foundation for our faith today because even though they didn’t have fact to go on their faith was a faith in a Person that they knew. Mary touched the heart of God on the same wise because she had no fact to prove that a virgin had ever conceived. The difference between her and the father of John the Baptist was that he had a record of an old man that gave birth in the Bible in the story of Abraham, so arguing with the angel Gabriel was the reason why he was made dumb for a season. They easiest part was her believing the word of the angel. But how would you explain to your fiancé if you were the man. No wonder Joseph was planning to put her away secretly. Even Joseph had to step into the unknown of trusting the person that he has known before Prayer: Lord, help my unbelief. I choose to trust You even when I don’t have a scripture to hang on. Underneath are Your everlasting arms and I know You will not fail me. Thank you Father, in Jesus’ name, amen. Copied from spiritmeat.net
