THE GREATEST YEAR OF MY LIFE In October of 1953 the Saturday Evening Post published an article written by Ben Hogan, as told by Gene Gregston, “The Greatest Year of My Life”. Described in the magazine: “With rare humility, a great American sports idol tells the story behind his amazing string of golf victories this year, climaxed by the winning of the British Open in his first try.
