THE HAIL MARY PRAYER is a very popular & powerful prayer amongst the Catholics. Infact it is repeated 50 times in the Rosary. It is described as consisting of 3 parts. (1). Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you, blessed are you amongst women embodies the words used by Angel Gabriel in saluting the Blessed Virgin (Lk 1:28). (2). and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus is borrowed from the Divinely inspired greatings of St. Elizabeth (Lk 1:42). (3). Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen is stated to have been framed by the church. By asking Mary to pray for us, we acknowledge ourselves to be poor sinners and address ourselves to the MOTHER OF MERCY the ALL HOLY ONE. We plead with her like a sinful child does to her mother for we believe she listens to us in the Today of our lives. Oh thou Blessed Virgin..... pray for us.
