THE HARTAL/GEELANI SYNDROME: Brothers, the question is not about ousting the Indian occupational forces but one of why we are being oppressed when Quran, categorically, states that do not be oppressed! The question is whether we give this commandment of the glorious Koran what is required of us? We are being led astray bcoz we are following the human-developed philosophies of resistance! And God forbid, when some group or individual nods the same call of Allah*, it/he is labelled tags like terrorists, extremists, uncivilized, and cursed (khawarij)! It holds true for Taliban and ISIS!!! The problem with Geelani, holding the helm of local allegiance in Kashmir, is that he never endorsed (or never likely is) Jihad overtly when he should have! I do not doubt his integrity but i certainly do doubt the effectiveness of his obviously futile plan of resistance. We need to operationalize the principles of governance and politics imbibed in Islamic jurisprudence to achieve the desired outcomes.
