THE HEART The heart is a complicated thing, the Bible teaches us in Proverbs 4:23(New International Version) above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it New Living Translation Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Gods Word Translation Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it. I have written just three translations, notice how important the heart is. All of life is determined by the state of ones heart. Not much is taught on the heart yet it is clearly at the core or centre of a mans life. A diseased heart will most certainly produce diseased results or symptoms. I think it is just about time we had a health check and get a check up from The Great Physician. I used to find myself and still do find myself in situations where I can see clearly that the state of my heart is not as the Father wants it to be, I am learning daily how to get it on the mend and working right again. The Bible has a true and trusted formula, Ephesians 4:22-24amp says the following:- Strip yourselves of your former nature (put off and discard your old unrenewed self) which characterised your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion. And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind (having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude) and put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in Gods image (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness. It is also very easy to read terms such as the spirit of the mind and pass over them quickly but it is worth taking the time to find out exactly what that means and I am going to write a bit on what the scriptures say about that over the next couple of days. I encourage us all to ask the Father for a new heart because He did say for us to ask and He will give it to us.
