THE HEROES: MSJ and COP Today David Abdullah Political Leader - TopicsExpress

THE HEROES: MSJ and COP Today David Abdullah Political Leader of the MSJ was most clinical and resolute in his analysis of the 2014 Constitutional Amendment Bill. He has further called for the TOP to show the integrity the people of Tobago are known for, and the COP to further recognize that an association with TOP could see the tail wagging the dog, since TOP and COP is what gives the UNC a majority in the Lower House. The COP this evening has called for a delay in the debate proposed for Monday, and this call was made by its Political Leader Prakash Ramadar who served as Chairman of the Constitution Review Commission. It would seem that he was mandated to so do. This now makes THREE CRC members calling for a full airing of our concerns before debate. My heart has hope for T&T that on either side of the political divide there are those who are willing to listen before acting. My heroes today are: David Abdullah, Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan, Winston Dookeran the members and supporters of the MSJ and the COP. Trinidad & Tobago holds titular leadership in the Caribbean: When global power houses like The USA, China and Japan, want to meet with CARICOM: they say to the rest of CARICOM. “Meet me in Trinidad” Please let us act our age, and preserve the position of respect built for us by Eric Williams, George Chambers, ANR Robinson, Patrick Manning and Basdeo Panday. The surreptitious wheeling and dealing revealed by Merle Hodge is enough to indict or impeach Attorney General Annand Ramlogan in any serious democracy. But in Trinidad & Tobago we just let it slide. All eyes on the Lower House from 10:30AM on Monday and pray that Good sense prevails.
