THE ICT TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION IN YOUTH EDUCATION CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT IN KENYA 2013 - By Dr.Eng.Moses Isaac ODHIAMBO Prof. Can these youths of today make it from the indigenous village primary schools to learn ICT subjects? It is historistically well done. This technological transformation on ICT is opportune for standard one pupils as from this year as per the New Kenyan Program. In real sense it looks succinctly and excellently leveraged within a short spell of time of only two months. If this Information communications technology ICT- program is well planned with all facilities a pupil needs in time, designed in critical Path Analysis Sense, well monitored and implemented by pedagogic professionals in time by both respective higher institutions of learning then Kenya will be a Great Country to recognize with in booming economy as time goes on, But if the planners do not use their common sense in giving the pupils conducive conditions in well planned class to learn this computer technology art then the learning of this ICT Program will just be a mere money minting factory, ignoring the empowerment of youth of today, meaning the technological transformation history will judge us harshly,as Leaders who used billions of Dollars as now in the Financial yearly budget to introduce a technological system that failed the Nation to prosper in the right vectorial direction. The First Kenya Government Educational experimental class Std VII transformation of which, for example:I was one of the first beneficiaries due to our high achievement in KPE Point Results was very successful as it trained very many engineers and doctors in Kenya. The experimental class was very dynamic and exponential in parameter matrix function as we were the first high school studentsi n Kenya to learn new technical subjects and New Mathematics of computer programing SMP in the national schools. After higher school I was under UNDP training Intitute Nairobi WMO-Center Dagoretti, later on sponsored by Government as a working civil servant student to go and learn engineering course abroad. Therefore I do humbly and soberly hope that our intelligent Leaders with attitude and gratitude will do the same for the empowerment of the youth of today and tomorrow to harness good technology for sustainable development outreach of integral values of humankind -By Dr.Eng.Moses Isaac ODHIAMBO
