THE IMPACT OF THE THE PERFORMATIVE THEORY OF TRUTH? If the performative theory of truth is correct, and all other uses of the term truth (truth claims) are merely somewhere between linguistic conveniences, and vague analogies, that compensate for our ignorance of that which were stating, then what does that mean for CR? Under performative theory of truth, what we consider true in CR is, I think identical to completeness: where no change in properties produces a marginal difference in inputs or outputs without also changing the context (question). And what is considered true is that one has made a well constructed theory, free or error, that answers the question or problem, but that does not claim to be complete.
