THE INEVITABLE.... and IT IS CERTAIN... ASSALAMOALAYKUM. MAY PEACE BE WITH YOU... It is certain that you cannot take any of your material possessions with you when the time comes to go, but there is one thing you will take with you and that is your character. When the moment arrives, as come it must for all, it will not be what you have that matters, but what you are, what life has made of you. It is a sobering reflection. It pulls you up in your tracks and makes you stand still, wondering, asking disturbing questions... What am I ? What do I really amount to ? How much am I worth to GOD ? How have I used the gifts with which HE has endowed me ? Have I used them exclusively for my own selfish interests or have I put them at the service of others ? Have I done my duty, fully and conscientiously ? Have I shirked any of my duties ? Have I ever really come to grips with life at all ? Have I ever dared to fall on my knees in a holy place and look at myself in the mirror of truth ? What is this character that I shall take with me when I pass over into the next world ? What sort of a soul shall I have to present before my Maker ? Will it have substance and beauty, or will it be a shadowy shrinking unsubstantial thing, not able to stand up by itself, having no sinews of faith to hold it together ? AND with all these questions I leave you to know that we brought nothing into this world nor will we carry anything out with us... BE BLESSED WITH MUCH HUGS AND LOVE....
