THE JOURNEY OF MY LIFE SO FAR.!! Andrews Amoh also known as Andy Dosty is undoubtedly Ghana’s best hi life DJ who still holds the title as Ashanti’s Finest told flex newspaper last saturday during an interview that the road has not been easy but with determination and focus he has persevere in all his endeavors .Andy developed the passion for Disc Jocking when he was In school at a tender age.The multi talented man is known to be a Tv and radio presenter,musician,Dj and a producer. Asked how long he has been in the industry,Andy hesitated,smiled and said “I’m fortunate people are not around,I am old in the game”.I started radio at GBC in 1995.It was nt easy when I commenced because people seldomly look down upon me,underrated me just because nature denied me height and flesh. We where then forced to speak the queens language which most of us took as a challenge. Entering into radio without any formal training, I always vigilant, Smart enough to prepare adequately before programme begins .During those days, refresher courses were organised for we the presenters which I think boost our moral Andy added”.The Discipline level at that time at G.B.C was rated high even to the extent that anyone who spoke bad English was sacked. Through all this little hustle, I wasn’t then fully employed due to the lever of my education. As an amateur during the 90’s, I was submissive,Humble and dedicated to the Job. According to Andy Dosty, He made way from G.B.C to radio mercury. He then proceeded to Otec Fm where he was fully employed. It was do hilarious but hectic to be on air for 30 minutes, Perfoming all duties as every presenter does in terms of playing of music, LPM and presenting as well. There was no room for hesitancy, He heard privilege to work for 6 years under the management of Otec fm. Andy work with Peace fm with a couple of months and paved way to hello fm. At hello fm Andy can boldly say and claim he was a pacesetter when it comes in playing of purely local tunes .He added that he set that record and now it has come to stay. He worked with hello fm for 3 good years. Andy told flex newspaper He moved on with his radio career for 5 years. “Working with Angel Fm was my biggest regret in my career since I started radio. The CEO of the despite group of companies Dr. Osei Kwame Despite was ready to double the money Angel fm poached me but I was soo blind to see”. After bitter working experience with Angel fm. I signed a contract last year I started working on 1st April 2013 as a multimedia staff on Hit 103.9. Currently Andy is the host of “Easy listening” on hit fm, Airtel count down and high life agogo on Adom fm. His prowess attitude on air has added spice to his programmes and makes it enticing to his adorable audience. He creates mesmeric tension whenever he is on air, most especially with his ultimate “Easy Listening”. When asked his plans for the future Andy said “my concentration is on my music, D.j school work, production works and family “. I’m a married man with a lot of children. I’m now pursuing strategic communication at African University college(AUC) .According to the Ashanti’s finest Dj,he hates to brag but always make sure he does his best. He raised his concern about the vulgar languages and grammatical errors presenters make always. He suggested owners of radio stations should organize refresher courses to enlighten the knowledge of their workers. With regards to music, Andy has released a latest song featuring Okyeame Kwame, title bosoe produced by one of the sensational beat makers Lazio. Since he helped other musicians and presenters ,He expected them to promote his songs which unfortunately he doesn’t get their support In 2002, Andy was awarded as the best D.j Kumasi when Rothman organized a competition, It was there he had the title Ashanti’s finest. He was the national 2nd D.j in 2003 under the auspices of Rothman. Andy has produce numerous of D.j’s in the country and beyond. In 2009 he won the excellence in radio in broadcasting in New York and even before that was the 1st D.j to play at big brother house in 2009,In that same year he was recognized by Rhyme and Reason. He hosted Graphic showbiz on Tv in 2013 and presently managing his D.j school at Awudome.
