THE KINGDOM OF GOD: God’s Kingdom is a real government - TopicsExpress

THE KINGDOM OF GOD: God’s Kingdom is a real government established by Jehovah God. “The kingdom of God” is also called “the kingdom of heaven” in the Bible, since it rules from heaven. (Mark 1:14, 15; Matthew 4:17, King James Version) It shares many attributes of human governments, yet it is superior to them in every way. Rulers. God has appointed Jesus Christ as King of the Kingdom and has given him more authority than any human ruler could ever have. (Matthew 28:18) Jesus uses this power only for good, since he has already proved to be a reliable and compassionate Leader. (Matthew 4:23; Mark 1:40, 41; 6:31-34; Luke 7:11-17) Under God’s direction, Jesus has selected persons from all nations who will “rule as kings over the earth” with him in heaven.—Revelation 5:9, 10. Duration. Unlike human governments, which come and go, God’s Kingdom “will never be brought to ruin.”—Daniel 2:44.says And in the days of these [final ten] kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall its sovereignty be left to another people; but it shall break and crush and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever Subjects. Anyone who does what God requires can be a subject of God’s Kingdom, without regard for ancestry or birthplace.—Acts 10:34, 35. Laws. The laws (or commandments) of God’s Kingdom do more than just prohibit wrong behavior. They raise the moral character of its subjects. For example, the Bible says: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:37-39) Love of God and neighbor moves subjects of the Kingdom to act in the best interests of others.Notice: John the baptist, Christ forerunner came and he was preaching that the kingdom was at hand [Matthew 3:2] And saying, Repent ([a]think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Afterward Jesus preach the same, adding, The time is fulfilled Mark 1:15 And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ([a]have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel). Jesus also instructed His apostles to preach that the kingdom is at hand[Matthew 10:7] He also promised them that He would build His church or kingdom[Matthew 16:18-19]. Obviously, John and Jesus believe that the time for the kingdom had arrived. The Bible later explains that Christ love the church and gave himself for it[Ephesians 5:25] Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. Imagine The church is so important that God sent His only son to establish it, and Christ paid His lifes blood to purchase it. However, even after Jesus death, people were still waiting for the kingdom Luke chapter 23 verse 51: Who had not agreed with or assented to the purpose and action of the others; and he was expecting and waiting for the kingdom of God.After Jesus resurrection, the apostles ask Him of this kingdom, because He was about to return back to heaven Act 1:6-8 So when they were assembled, they asked Him, Lord, is this the time when You will reestablish the kingdom and restore it to Israel? 7 He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know [a]what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed [b]years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power. 8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.Christ is the head of His church, reigning over His kingdom [the church]. The Apostles waited in Jerusalem for the fulfillment of the promised kingdom[Act 2:4,12]. On the Day of Pentecost, a Jewish feast day about fifty days after Christs resurrection, God miraculously fulfilled all of the predictions of the Church establishment. That day God filled the apostles with the Holy Spirit[Act2:4] and manifested miraculous power [Act 2:1-11]. Gods Word went forth from Jerusalem as Peter announced that the last days had arrived [2:16-17]. He also declared that Jesus resurrection and ascension to Gods throne fulfilled the prophecy that taught Christ would reign on Davids throne [Acts 2:29-36]. And the church[kingdom] became reality on the day of Pentecost which is also refers to as the beginning [Act 11:15-16]When I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as He did on us at the beginning.(A) 16 Then I recalled the declaration of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with ([a]be placed in, introduced into) the Holy Spirit. The apostles identified the church as the kingdom by describing church members as translated into the kingdom [colossians 1:13], [The Father] has delivered and [a]drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son [b]of His love, called into the kingdom[1Thessalonians 2:12] To live lives worthy of God, Who calls you into His own kingdom and the glorious blessedness [[a]into which true believers will enter after Christ’s return]. in the kingdom [Revelation 1:6,9] And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it) 9, I, John, your brother and companion (sharer and participator) with you in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance [which are] in Jesus Christ, was on the isle called Patmos, [banished] on account of [my witnessing to] the Word of God and the testimony (the proof, the evidence) for Jesus Christ. And sitting with Christ in the heavenly places[Ephesians 2:6; Revelation 5:9-10] etc. God plan to establish His church[kingdom was thus fulfilled.
