THE LACKADAISICAL ATITUDE OF THE NATION NIGERIA AND ITS UNENDING - TopicsExpress

THE LACKADAISICAL ATITUDE OF THE NATION NIGERIA AND ITS UNENDING RAMIFICATION. I was telling my friend some days back that we are very unique people on planet earth. What can cause protest in other countries, we over look them here. What can bring down a whole country, we ignore them here. We allow thing to just go by no matter how bad because everybody is hustling to feed themselves and no time to notice whats happening around them. It only becomes our problem when it hurts us directly. Kidnapping people in the east is of no concern to the man in the west, Militancy is only the problem to the man from the south south, so as Boko Haram is a problem for a northern man. The only problem that has united everyone is the Ebola virus. Even the Federal and state government kept politics aside and worked together to fight that problem. Probably because we know that no amount of millions can protect us all from neither can politics of bigotry and ethnical incitements. We Nigerians are very forgetful people, we forget things too soon and that’s why our leaders can do certain things, buy time and it will be swept under the carpet and life goes on. We have forgotten so soon, countless political assassinations in this country, most especially Bola Ige, we have forgotten massive looting of our money to foreign countries, we have forgotten about high profile corrupt cases in court. We have forgotten about immigration tragedies, we have forgotten about plane crashes in the country and will only come to it until there is another plane crash, we have forgotten about those that died during the subsidy protest, we have forgotten about those who died during immigration exam. What happened to the billions of Naira collected from poor Nigerians? we have forgotten how the Boko Haram leader Yusuf was killed in cold blood, how the group became violent and now we are suffering from our forgetfulness. Our leaders will continue to play us because they know we forget things so easily. Give us sometime and its over. The Leave them, make them rule as them like mentality has eaten deep. We hear that a whole fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian military is missing now for over a week and up till now nothing has been said about. The air waves were hit with the news of one Mr Ishyaku and an Isreali caught with 9.3millions dollars stacked in two brief cases in a chartered in South Africa with a chartered jet belonging to Ayo Oritsejeafor and the federal government shamelessly came out to defend such a clandestine deal by putting a shady cover that they went to buy arms and ammunition on behalf of a legitimate Government of Nigeria. A democratically elected Government and not a rebel government.... really laughable. Up till now the federal government is yet to come openly to the public to tell us how tax payers money was flown to south Africa. The one that churns my stomach again is the kangaroo arrangement of the NYSC DG to print call up letter of prospective corps members with an attached fee of #4000. I listened to the NYSC spokesperson on radio the other day shamelessly telling Nigerians that the software for the registration cost over 800million naira. This made me to scream out loud in my room. My fellow Nigerians, we have no other place to call our home. It is either we stand up now to repair our sick nation or continue to live in this mess. Stand up and make Nigeria a better place for the crime of a good man in a corrupt society is his silence. Silence in this case is a tacit approval of the ills in our great nation..... #mceemedical
