THE LEO OGOR SERIES: SEASON 7 (THE LEO OGOR YOU NEVER KNEW) PHILANTHROPY AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT PHILANTHROPY Rt Hon Leo Ogor has engaged in a number of philanthropic gestures over the years which are too numerous to mention. He singlehandedly built and donated eighteen blocks of classroom and laboratory situated at Alaka Secondary at Ozoro to Ozoro community in Isoko north L.G.A of Delta state In October last year, the Deputy House Leader, singlehandedly renovated a block of 8 classroom at Eru Primary school, Igbide Ogor has also placed a number of Isoko students from primary to university level having financial challenges on scholarship to help towards the successful completion of their education most especially students of Delta state Polytechnic, Ozoro, Delta state. A large number of Isoko students are currently under his scholarships. Rt Hon Leo Okuweh Ogor magnanimously and singlehandedly sponsored the plastic surgery operation of Mrs. Ezuzu Edoka from Ovrode costing millions of Naira at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH. Rt Hon. Leo Ogor also recently sponsored the surgical operation of one Tina from Owhelogbo costing millions of naira Also recently, Hon Leo Ogor singlehandedly embarked on the construction of hostel accommodation for Orphans at the cost of about 10miilion at Irri, Isoko south L.G.A of Delta State As part of his good gestures and also to put a smile on the face of his constituents, Hon Leo Ogor has acquired and evenly distributed more than 50 cars to his constituents in various wards in Isoko land In bid to ensure the wellbeing of his constituents, Oyibo Isoko has acquired and distributed hospital equipment worth millions of naira to various hospital in Isoko land. Ogor also embarked on the construction and furnishing of two storey building ICT Centre complex, construction of 1.5km internal road network and donation of 110 solar powered street lights all at Delta state polytechnic, Ozoro, Delta state through NDDC. As part of his philanthropic gestures, Hon Leo Ogor singlehandedly embarked on the construction of hostel accommodation for orphans at Irri , Delta state including the provision of borehole for the orphanage home at a cost of about N10million whose work is in advance stage to ensure the wellbeing of the orphans and with a promise to donate food items to the orphanage on regular basic. Hon Leo Ogor has also ameliorate the plight of most Isoko unemployed graduates by placing a number of the unemployed graduates on monthly stipends until they are gainfully employed. HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT It’s noteworthy to list some of Rt Hon Leo Ogor’s achievements in the area of human capital development. Under the amnesty programme of the federal government designed strictly for ex-militants in order to ensure peace, security and stability in the Niger-Delta region, Hon Leo Ogor influenced two of Isoko sons, Master Oghenekowhoro Francis Okwigbedi from Emede in Isoko South Local Government Area and Master Mamesi Oghenekaro Nelson from Emevor in Isoko North Local Government Area into the Amnesty programme, though the Isoko nation never carried arms against the Federal government and thus not qualify for the amnesty programme. This singular act shows Hon Leo Ogor’s commitment to human-capital development in Isoko land amongst other numerous achievements in the area of human capital development, another reason he deserve our votes come February 2015. It’s also noteworthy that Rt Hon Leo Ogor has placed a number of Isoko sons and Daughter on scholarship in both secondary and tertiary institutions. These and more are some of the many reasons why Hon Leo Ogor, the general of House of Representatives, deserves re-election WATCH OUT FOR SEASON 8 OF THE SERIES TOMORROW
