THE LORD IS GREATER – EXODUS 18: 1 – 12 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.(v.11KJV) It is definitely true that there is no testimony without first having a test. There are so many tests in life and there is no human being that is free of tests. But I pray that after all of your test and trials, there shall be a worthy testimony for you. The noise of all that the Lord had done for Israel went as far as Midian such that Jethro the priest of Midian came to confirm them. Jethro saw more than he had heard and what he had seen gave him a reason to believe that the LORD is greater than all the gods. This is a worthy saying: the LORD IS GREATER THAN ALL THE gods (even when they are combined). Perhaps you do not know or believe this; there is none like HIM. HE is greater than all the gods; HE is greater than all the challenges; HE is greater than all the tests or trials. HE is the GOD behind the testimonies of those who trust in Him. HE is with you and I through Jesus Christ. Moses could not stop talking about Him to the priest of Midian who happened to be his father-in-law. Moses was simply saying: I had seen the gods in Egypt, I had experienced the deeds of the gods in Midian, but he (Moses) would testify better of the GOD that works great deliverance for HIS people – HE is the GOD of all. HE will help you. HE will see you through. All HE wants is that you understand HIS love through Jesus Christ. I pray you have a testimony that will make other people know and believe in GOD who is greater than all. Do share your testimony rather than jestings and making unworthy gists. Let people see and know the great GOD you serve. Pray that every of your test, trial, or challenges will give you a resounding testimony of GOD through the love of Christ the Saviour. Pray that someone will have a testimony of GOD’S greatness today.
