THE LORD JESUS ARGUES AGAINST THE PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE THEORY A reflection from: efren-poetryandmore.blogspot Read: [Matthew 28:18-20] The Great Commission of propagating the gospel and edifying believers was given to the church by the Lord Jesus before he was taken up to heaven, with the assurance that he will be with the church until the end of the age. And the present age necessarily ends when the Lord Jesus returns bodily to the Mount of Olives. Did the Lord fail to mention to his disciples an intervening event before the End of the Age and his bodily return, which is the Pre-Tribulation Rapture? No, he did not, because no such event would occur according to the timeline of the Messiah. The church would be on earth until the End of the Age, until his second coming. The apostle Paul was never in conflict with the Lord Jesus. In the Thessalonian letters, Paul was giving the finer details of the Second Coming of the Lord, never another event unknown even to the Creator of time, who knows one end of creation to the other, the Lord Jesus, the Christ.
