THE LORD’S ORDAINED FEASTS: HIS DIVINE APPOINTMENTS WITH MANKIND. Part A: THE FIRST COMING FULFILLED THE FIRST FOUR FEASTS. “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7. The Bible is the sure Word of Prophecy providing a picture of GOD’s entire plan for mankind from Genesis to Revelation. Our Lord and God, Jesus the Messiah the Son of The Most High GOD - YaHoWaH Adonia Elohim, already planned His visitations to mankind to save and deliver us, and to dwell with us forever more, through prophetic pictures outlined in Leviticus 23 & 25 and Exodus 12 & 13. These He instructed His chosen people Israel to keep yearly and forever. “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are MY Feasts. …it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.” Lev 23:1-2, 21b. From the Strong’s Dictionary, the word FEASTS is from the Hebrew:- mo-ade, mo-ade, mo-aw-daw: which means AN APPOINTMENT. And GOD clearly says “these are MY Feasts.” (Lev23:2): meaning these are a picture or prophecy of HIS divine appointments or divine visitations with mankind. The seven annual feasts The LORD commanded Israel are spread over seven months of the Jewish calendar at set times as instructed by GOD. They are all to be ordained Sabbath days for both Jews and Non-Jews who have placed their faith in HIM. These special days demonstrate the work of redemption through JESUS THE MESSIAH – THE SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD. “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Colossians 2:16-17. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1Corinth 5:8 The first four of the seven appointments are already fulfilled – these are Passover, feasts of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and feasts of Weeks (celebrated yearly during Springtime); they were achieved by Jesus Christ during His first coming when He played the role of the sacrificial Lamb, and also is become our High Priest. The final three appointments are feasts of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and feasts of Tabernacles (the Fall feasts) which are celebrated yearly during the fall season later in the year, these divine appointments are still pending. These shall be fulfilled during His second coming as The Bridegroom, the Lion of Judah, The KING of Kings, and finally OUR GOD DWELLING WITH US FOREVER in the eight Day. The first four feasts were fulfilled right on the actual feasts days in connection with Christ’s first coming, and we know that: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Heb 13:8, and He also said - “For I am the LORD, I change not.” Mal 3:6. Therefore the three fall feasts shall likewise be fulfilled in connection to the LORD’s second coming. See the prophetic power of the Lords feasts in the fulfilled appointments: 1.) Feasts of Passover – Pesach: Lev 23:5 (Exo 12 and 13). Date – 14th Nisan. “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORDS Passover.” Lev 23:5. Fulfilled in the death of Jesus the Messiah as our Passover Lamb whose blood purchased us unto GOD The Father Almighty and destroyed the power of sin. “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1Corinth 5:7-8. “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to GOD by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our GOD kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Rev 5:9-10. Jesus was crucified on Passover day, at the same time that the lambs were being slaughtered in the Temple. “Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the Passover.” John 18:28. 2.) Feast of Unleavened Bread – HaMatzah: Lev 23:6. Date – 15th Nisan. “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.” Lev 23:6. Fulfilled in the burial of Jesus Christ the Son of GOD Most High. As the perfect, spotless and sinless sacrificial Lamb for the sins of the world. He lived a sinless life – making His body the bread without leaven (sin) as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible. Therefore this Unleavened Bread was broken for us on the LORD’s Passover and buried at the beginning of HaMatzah; the grain of wheat that must fall to the ground and die, and then live again, to produce a great harvest of souls unto the Father Almighty. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24. “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6: 51, 54. “And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you.” Luke 22:19-20. 3.) Feasts of First Fruits – HaBikkurim: Lev 23:10-11. Date – 1st day of the week after Sabbath following Passover. “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.” Lev 23:10-11. Fulfilled in Messiah’s resurrection from the dead – as the first fruit from the grave. Jesus Christ the Son of The Most High GOD rose from the grave on this very day, and the power of death was broken forever. “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the Firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.” 1Corinth 15:20-21 “Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD? HE IS NOT HERE, BUT IS RISEN.” Luke 24:1-6a. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. John11:25-26. 4.) Feast of Weeks – Pentecost (Greek) – Shavuot: Lev 23:16. Date – seven weeks plus one day after the beginning of the feast of first fruit (50 days). “Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken WITH LEAVEN; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.” Lev 23:16-17. The outpouring of the Holy Ghost on all flesh that believes – both Jews and Gentiles – the birth of joint heirs with the Son unto GOD. The firstfruits unto the LORD was fulfilled on the very day the feast of Weeks was celebrated in Jerusalem when the Holy Spirit came upon Peter and others all 120 who waited at the upper room as the LORD had commanded them to tarry. This same day the church was established with three thousand souls added (Acts 1 and 2). We continue in this age till date as souls are saved and shall soon be taken out to safety by the seal of the Holy Spirit. “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but “wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. …But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.” Act 1:4-5, 7-11. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” arthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?” But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: …and I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a Man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it. …This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Acts 2:1-12, 14-17, 32-36. The Holy Spirit does not remain resident on Christians that continue in sin: the worst thing the enemy has done is to make many remain at ease that they are born-again when actually they are not. By His Fruits you shall know if you have Him in you; if you do not walk by the Fruits of the Spirit then Yahushua does not know you - no matter the spiritual gifts you display. But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law. Gal 5:22-23. LOVE: HUMILITY: SELF CONTROL: GENTLENESS: GOODNESS: PEACE. not HATE: PROUD: UNSTABLE: VIOLENT: WICKED & DANGEROUS: MALICE/TROUBLESOME. Do not be deceived - review your relationship with GOD. Examine yourself and repent. Sin, hate, malice, pride, and wickedness is far from you if you walk by the Spirit. The LORD kept these appointments so that you can choose Everlasting Life.
