THE LORD’S WAY “Man’s Keeper” Psalm 121-I will lift up - TopicsExpress

THE LORD’S WAY “Man’s Keeper” Psalm 121-I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [Why the hills? Verse gives the answer.] 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. [Our help comes from the Lord; He not only made the hills, but He made the entire heaven and earth.] 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. [As long as we are on the path of God’s Word, and we should be anchored to that path, nothing can move us from that path. Why? Because God has given you Godly discernment, and you will be able to distinguish between good and evil.] 4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. [The Lord never sleeps, He watches all of His children, all of the time,] 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. [The right hand is considered the hand of strength; so here we learn that God will protect our strength.] 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. [God’s uses His creation to work on our behalf.] 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. [The Lord preserves us (the believer) by our abiding faith in Christ and His finished work upon the cross, which then gives us the help and the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1-2-There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:11-But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. This is ironclad, all we have to do is trust in Christ and His finished work. Christ is the only source, and the cross is the only means, by which the blessings and promises of God are bestowed upon a believer.] God bless you all. Preacher
