THE LOST KEY... A few days ago, a friend told me, LOVE, can be learned. My spirit felt uneasy with her idea. Not just because its blatantly weird, but, because its also pathetic. What she said, is probably an apt commentary on one of the key conditions of the human spirit. Its a crisis of identity. Its the reality of self-estrangement. The more we burrow into the dark crevices of materialism, the more we strove away from light, the more we lost track of who we really are. So, we now have thick veils blunting our essence. Its difficult for us to answer the basic question: WHO AM I? A question no serious seeker of truth can escape from. A question that cannot be pacified by cosmetics. Its a sad commentary on our evolution, if we have to start learning that which ought to define us! I always feel embarrassed when folks thank me, when I have done something good. Its like being given an award, for breathing! Why are we filled with rage, when we hear, watch, or, read about acts of inhumanity? Theres an inner self that senses TRUTH. Theres an inner self that would like to be loved, not hated, maimed, or killed! Theres an inner self that knows what is RIGHT. Theres an inner self, that transcends the attractions of relativism, deep inside, we know that, love is lifes most enchanting treasure. The ability to love, the capacity to reflect KINDNESS to all, is what makes us truly of value. Its part of what makes us HUMAN. Humane. Are we humane? Youre not valuable because you have a treasure-chest filled with gold, or, because you can use 77 software/apps, or, you have 7 PhDs... To LOVE, is the most natural thing to do. Its a reflection of our nature and origin. Were sparks, tiny fragments of LOVE. And, in genuine LOVE, lie the solution to all our woes, in it lie the lost key to the kingdom of BLISS.
