Psalm 98vs5: Sing to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and the sound of a psalm. * Psalms are songs to talk to God for His wondrous ways. Psalm 105vs2: Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! * Psalms are songs to enter into Gods presence. THE TYPES OF PSALMS (i) Thanksgiving Psalms (Psalm 30). (ii) Psalms Of Praise (Psalm 117vs1-2). (iii) Psalms Of Prophecy (Psalm 2vs1-12; Psalm 16vs1-11). (iv) Penitential Or Remorseful Psalms (Psalm 6vs1-10; Psalm 67vs1-7). (v) Intercessory Psalms (Psalm 20vs1-9; Psalm 67vs1-7). (vi) Psalms Of Affliction (Psalm 3vs1-8; Psalm 4vs1-8). (vii) Psalms Relating To Didactic And History (Psalm 1vs1-6; Psalm 78vs1-72). HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS WHAT ARE HYMNS? * Hymns are religious canticles, songs, or psalms. Colossians 3vs16: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. * Hymns are songs inspired by God, written by spiritual men.
