THE MAJESTY OF A KING. The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. (Matthew 28:5-6). Paul said That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,.... (Philippians 3:10a). Paul really encountered Christ because he really knew how powerful the resurrection was. He wanted to grasp this awesome power and experience it. In the context of Matt 28, the Bible says there was a violent earthquake. However, it wasnt the earthquake that raised Jesus from the dead but rather the Power of the Holy Spirit of God; The Spirit of Christ Jesus Himself. For the angel said HE HAS RISEN. The angel didnt say that Jesus has been raised but that HE HIMSELF has RISEN! What the angel did was to open the tomb for the KING to walk out. Of course we dont expect a KING to open HIS own gate. The exit from the tomb in majesty is what the soldier couldnt stand. Hey! The KING is coming out! You cant stand and look at HIM! The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. (Matthew 28:4). Now this and more is what happened when our KING came out of the tomb. He came to the earth in lowliness but moved out of the tomb with Power and Authority! This is the DUNAMIS that defies the rules of nature; So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard. (Matthew 27:66). They just couldnt stand this Power. Now listen, And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. (Romans 8:11). Hallelujah! This is the Power we carry as believers. Nothing can ever stop us! When we speak, we speak with Authority; the devil cant shut us up. Im a child of a KING! As HE is, so I am on this earth! Come on! This is what you are in Christ, no circumstance can hinder your achieving that which God has purposed for you. In the Name of our Lord Jesus CHRIST! Amen.
