THE MAKER’S MAP [By FBI- First Baba Isa] Monday, 17th March, 2014. DIE TO MULTIPLY. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it dies, it bringeth forth much fruit.” -- John 12:24 One night, I got a call from a lady I had never met. She got my phone number from one of my friends, who told her I am a writer and a poet. She told me she had a collection of poems and wanted me to go through them, make recommendations, and say whether they are fit for publishing. I told her I would be glad to help her achieve her dreams. I got her poems and went through them. We started making phones calls and communicating through text messages. One day she sent me a text. It reads: “I was decaying within, I was writing, but the road was so crooked. You know what it means, when you want to be renowned, and is like your spirit is dying…” I didn’t know how to reply or respond. I allowed the invisible hand of inspiration to form the right words: “Yeah! In the search for relevance, most times, the road seems crooked, but if we keep on keeping on, we soon discover that there is a crown at the end of the crooked road. Every renowned person had a decaying feeling at least once. The feeling you had points to the fact that you are born to be renowned. Every great writer decays before the world noticed him. Remember a good plant must decay before it blossoms. You don’t jump into fame, you grow into it.” She called saying that those words transformed her. They can transform you too. Warren Buffet, the world greatest investor said, “No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can’t produce a baby in one month by making nine women pregnant!” Keep at it friend, you will succeed. LET’S PRAY: Father, help me through this season of smallness, this period of insignificance, this time of decaying. Help me endure this seed-time as you prepare me for the inevitable harvest, in Jesus Name. SUCCESS ACTIVITY: Write down seven things you are doing now with discouraging results. Keep at it. Don’t compare your seedtime with someone else’s harvest time -- you will feel inadequate! Don’t be discouraged. Keep doing the little you can do today. CONFESSION: I am great!
