At the EMI office and after a hot argument with the CEO of the records company, an agreement was reached in writing to compensate Fela for the breach. Satisfied, Fela left. Weeks later Fela got wind of EMI CEOs plans to leave Nigeria. Fela waited for the planned departure date. He drove to the Airport and as soon as the CEO appeared at the immigration desk to certify his travels documents Fela closed up on him and grabbed his shirt, and started shouting thief. .thief. . Airport personnel gathered and Fela held on shouting. The white man, CEO then started begging and pleading for more time. To cut the story short, the CEO couldnt travel and had to conclude the compensation arrangements with Fela, the preceding days Thereafter, Fela wrote and released a hit track UNNECESSARY BEGGING Oro ebe osele.
