THE MANGAL SUTRA! Humans cannot live without symbols! (Thumbs up on FB!) This has been going on since ages! However the Non-Abrahimic relegions are more dependent on symbolic conveyance of concepts. They believe the Language employed is not good enough to convey the message. The Mangal Sutra is a simple necklace, mostly made of gold & black beads, the poor use cheap gold with some black substance, it is always gold+black. It is worn ONLY by married Hindu women. Spinsters, divorcees & widows never wear this! The Black to convey that this body no matter how beautiful will bring darkness to the OTHER man who approaches her! That said, if you find me making passes at young girls like Darling Dinazes & Sweet Spentases .Blame me not! They wear not the Mangalsutra & how do you expect me to know their marital status? (I belong to the Nonabrahamic relegion!) Thus do i justify my behaveioural pattern!
