THE MANY BAPTISM BELIEFS OF MAN THE THIEF ON THE CROSS WENT TO PARADISE WITH JESUS WITHOUT WATER BAPTISM MANY ON THEIR DEATH BED RECIEVE CHRIST AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOUR THEY GO TO PARADISE WITHOUT WATER BAPTISM At the time of the REFORMATION LUTHERAN AND ANGLICAN Churches retained the CATHOLIC PRACTICE OF INFANT BAPTISM by either simply pouring or sprinkling water on the childs head. The ANABAPTISTS, or various radical apologists were the first to reintroduce BELIEVERS baptism. They insisted that persons to be admitted to the church must be capable of making a PROFESSION OF FAITH before receiving the SACRAMENT of baptism. However, they DID NOT in all cases RE-ESTABLISH IMMERSION IN WATER. These ANABAPTISTS were PERSECUTED BY CATHOLIC AND PROTESTANT alike as they insisted on SEPARATION of Church and State. Their movement was regarded as a PEASANT REVOLT. The first group of ANABAPTISTS were lead by CONRAD GREBEL in 1525 breaking away from the ZWINGITE REFORMERS. Similar groups were established in Southern Germany and the Mennonites in the Netherlands.
