THE MASQUERADES DOWN :The enemy, satan, is very strategic in leading people to live a life of hiding. It usually starts when you experience something deeply sinful or painful. Perhaps a divorce, losing a job, being molested as a child... Such things can be deeply painful! Often times, we tend to connect what happened with who we are. When we do this we feel guilt, shame, feel as if we are a failure. sadly, this leads us to believing the only way to be safe is to hide. We hide behind smiles, pretending everything is OK. We hide behind things that keep us busy and our minds off of the matter. Like the movie, WhiteHouse Down, read this very precious message and personalized it and declare Masquerades Down. Tell the devil you are no more listening to his lies and condemnations. You are a victor. Gods word over your life in incorruptible, and its in you. There are things we go through that we dread others knowing, well its a trap of satan, that we dwell in hypocrisy. But through coming to Christ, we can tell the Lord about all our troubles. God will do a better job for you than you can do on your own. Genesis 2:24, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. The man and his wife were both naked and they felt no shame. No shame. Not ashamed, not disappointed, not confused. Absent of everything that separates. The Hebrew word for shame is Boosh. Boosh in the Hebrew means no shame, no games, no masks. In scripture the serpent tempted Eve and she gave some of the fruit to her husband. At that moment they sinned. They became ashamed of their nakedness and hid themselves with leaves. Genesis 3:7, Immediately the two of them did “see what’s really going on”—saw themselves naked! They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves. That was the first masquerade in the Bible! Before then - no guilt, no shame, no mask! But after they ate the fruit on that forbidden tree...after that traumatic experience (Just like a traumatic experience in our lives)...they felt unworthy. They felt ashamed. They could no longer be the real them! This was the first sin that Jesus despised. Why? Jesus hates hypocrisy! He hates play acting! The definition of a hypocrite is an actor playing a role, someone wearing a mask to misrepresent reality. How is that hypocrisy? In the New Testament when people come boldly and real to Jesus, there was grace and love. But for those who hid behind mask, they were hypocrites. With all our baggage, our sins, satan will use these things to defeat us by way of the shame game. The reality is we all have drama. We all have baggage. We all have issues. We are born in sin, shaped in iniquity. Psalm 51:5, Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me. But, we dont have to live a life of hiding! Even when we commit a sin or when we experience a traumatic event... We dont have to go into hiding! Dont connect those things with who you are! We are not failures! God is still God, and we dont have to hide! Remove the mask! God is faithful and just to forgive us! He will clean us up! Dont allow that sin or mistake to keep you from exposing who you really are! No more masquerade! We are the head and not the tail. Above and not beneath. We are more than conquerors! No need to hide from God! In fact, to hide from God is impossible! When God cried out to Adam in the garden and said, Adam, where are you? God knew where Adam was. He wanted Adam to realize his shame, and remove the mask. End the masquerade! God loves us even when we hide due to shame. God loves us when we are afraid. God loves us even when we are hiding our issues. Because He loves us...we dont have to hide behind things. Dont worry about people rejecting you because of your sin, because of your issues...they have issues too! For all of us have sinned and fallen short. Remove the mask! In what ways are you currently hiding? Are you hiding from God, from yourself, from your hurt or are you hiding your addiction? How have you experienced satans shame game? When we dwell on our shame, we believe a lie. But the accuser is cast down! Revelation 12:10, And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night. One of the best ways to deal with shame is to focus on God and what He declares about you. God has a purpose and a destiny for you. God can and God will forgive you, and remove the shame from your life! Isaiah 1:18, Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 103:12, As far as the east is from the west, So far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Titus 2:14, Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a people for His own possession, zealous of good works. Ephesians 1:7, In whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace... Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. Micah 7:19, He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Psalm 103:2-4, Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy. Remove the mask today! Stop hiding from God! No more guilt, no more shame! Confess what God has said about you. Admit your sin.Declare you have right standing with God. Be pretentious wouldnt transform your into what good you are imaging. However when we yield to God, We experience a mighty turn around. Be the real you today! Dont worry about your nakedness. Dont be ashamed. God has you covered! Hebrews 4:16, Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. this message will help our unsaved individuals whom we know to coming to the saving Knowledge of Christ Jesus.
