THE MISERY OF THE SPHINX. Since 1974 a secret agenda involving the US based Association of Research and Enlightenment (ARE) and Zahi Hawass has plagued the Great Sphinx of Giza. The ARE is the executive arm of the Edgar Cayce Foundation (ECF). Its main purpose is to promote the beliefs of the seer and mystic Edgar Cayce (1877-1945), namely that a Hall of Records of Atlantis exists, and that its finding would usher in a new Messianic-cum-Masonic age. One of the places nominated by Cayce is under the Great Sphinx of Giza. In order to implement this agenda the ARE and some of its senior members have, since 1974, funded covert explorations at the Giza necropolis with the help of Zahi Hawass. And even though Zahi Hawass has officially denied any involvement with the ARE, this organization has repeatedly claimed that they were instrumental in sponsoring the higher education of Zahi Hawass in the USA which, in return, he would help them implement their secret agenda. Because the ARE is not a recognized scientific institution, and also because of their secret agenda, it was necessary for them to operate through an acceptable cover in order to get access to the Sphinx and the Giza necropolis. At first reputable covers were used such as The Stamford Research Institute (SRI); the University of Boston and The Florida State University. At other times bogus Foundations were used such as The Schor Foundation set up in New York by one of its senior members. In 2008/9 the ARE has also funded individuals to pursue their agenda at Giza. The various direct shots at finding the Hall of Records of Atlantis involved drilling under the Sphinx; using seismographs to shoot soundwaves through the bedrock around the Sphinx; ground-penetrating radar; fibre-optic cameras and other recording methods. Access to restricted areas were facilitated by Zahi Hawass. Edcar Cayce had specified that the Hall of Records of Atlantis would be found in 1998. A series of apparently independent events suggests that a massive hoax to fool the world was planned. In 1996 the Schor Foundation, a cover for the ARE, operated by two of its senior members and funders, Joseph Schor and Joseph Jahoda, was helped by Zahi Hawass to get a 5 years renewable exploration permit to work at the Giza necropolis. The main purpose of the Schor Expedition was to announce on live television in 1998 (apparently on FOX TV) the finding of a secret tunnel that led supposedly to the Hall of Records under the Sphinx. This secret tunnel was at the bottom of a deep shaft known as the Tomb of Osiris. In 1998 the wife of Joseph Schor (a Zionist) was voted Executive Director of Hadassah, Americas Zionist Organization for Women. Also in 1998 Zahi Hawass officially announced the discovery of the Tomb of Osiris. The hoax, however, was aborted due to legal issues between the television production company, Magic Eye Production (owned by Boris Said), and the Schor Foundation. Although a full documentary was prepared for broadcast, it was never aired.
