THE MONDAY JUICE – April 7 Welcome to an belated edition of The Monday Juice! Really enjoyed SWOMP (Super week of mega praise) at Avondale Primary last week and it was wonderful that we could finish it off at Gateway. Great lead up to our Kids Rally this coming Saturday, April 12! Our kids loved the easter egg hunt on Sunday morning. A big thank you to all the kids ministry team. Awesome! PRAYER SUPPORT We really need to uphold Karen Muirhead and Joel Pakoti up in prayer for the next few weeks. Karen has been unwell for sometime and has been undergoing tests to figure out why. Karen has a very low immune system at present and because of this the family want to limit visitations. Please keep Karen, Charles and Ethan in your prayers, especially in the next week or so. Joel is having an operation on his vocal chords on April 21 and needs our prayers for God to guide the surgeon and to protect his voice. Please pray for Joel, Lenora and their whole family as they support him through this. APRIL 10 – FUEL FOR MEN This is the first of our Men Ministry nights for this year. All the blokes, young and old are invited over my house, 12 Kennedy Close, Cooranbong, for a BBQ at 6:30pm. All you need to do is bring something to throw on the BBQ, buns, salad and drinks provided. Bring ya mates! APRIL 12 – KIDS RALLY “Rise & Shine”! Kids, this Saturday is for you with Kids Ministry team cranking it up to help you Rise & Shine for Jesus! Starts at 10am in the MPC Avondale School. APRIL 13 – GATECRASH WORKING BEE!!! We are on a mission to revamp the GateCrash Cribb and make it a great place to bring our friends to SWITCH ON to Jesus. All are welcome to come and help us do some gardening, painting and renovations! 9:30am – 12:00 Played a game of basketball for the first time in a long time last, Sunday. I had forgotten how fun it was and realized, very quickly, how unfit I now am. For the first few minutes I was all over the place huffing and puffing. Shocking!!! It wasn’t until I settled down and got my head in the game, that things started to change. My problem was that I needed some structure so I could help create opportunities to for my team mates and myself. Perhaps your relationship with God is struggling, just like me playing basketball? Perhaps you feel unfit for what God is calling you to do? Why not try adding some structure to your spiritual life and spend some time each day seeking Gods will in His word? Give God the space to work in your life and create opportunities for you to share His love! This will give you joy and bring Him glory! God Bless Pastor James
