THE MUCH DREADED ULTIMATUM OF CHOOSING BETWEEN JONATHAN AND BUHARI: Divide the Baby into Two? It is only in Nigeria that the end justifies the means. It is only in Nigeria that an insurgency created and started in the North and encouraged by Northern elites is now blamed on Jonathan. It was the greed for power to return to the North that allowed a demonized and wicked strategy called Boko Haram to prosper. Unfortunately, the Frankenstein has turned against its creators and is eating its own children alongside the children of everybody. How can we be so forgetful in Nigeria? The Islamic North had always held the notion that the end justifies the means. The North said it from the very beginning that they will make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan. It was no threat because they did and they used BH to achieve it. They just never reckoned that the storm they had created would unleash a mayhem so destructive and severe that it would affect both the rich, poor, elite, illiterates, educated and everyone on its path – their only end was to get back to Aso Rock by any means and they do not care if they wipe out the whole Nigeria in doing so and their thinking is that let us use Buhari again to do so. The North reminds me so clearly of the two women in the bible who came to King Solomon to decide whose baby is which. And the wicked woman whose baby had died, rather than let the other baby to live, shouted, yes divide the babe and the real Mother rather than inflict such cruelty on her baby decided to let the other woman have it. We all know the glaring truth. The North will rather see Nigeria divided, torn apart and dead than have a Christian or Jonathan or Southern Muslim rule it. If it wasn’t so, they would have offered a Northern Christian or a Southern Muslim if a certain and perhaps peculiar genre of religion is not a critical factor as our so called intellectuals try to blindly argue. And that is the bitter truth. No amount of intellectual discourse would ever convince me otherwise! What is there to argue between Pro Jonathans and Pro Buharis? These two candidates were forced on Nigerians by people who do not truly represent the mind of the people. They were given to us as ultimatums – Buhari or Jonathan? The Devil or the red sea? Well, I choose to take my chances with the red sea. In case you’re still in doubt about who is ‘devil’ and who is ‘red sea,’ my personal conclusion places Buhari as the devil and Jonathan the red sea. I will vote Jonathan but I have since decided that whoever emerges will make life in Nigeria unbearable and disenchanting. But I would rather be disenchanted with GEJ and cry than with Gmb and not be afforded the luxury to cry. May God deliver us from Both or help us through either one. God…God…God…He is the master strategist. Yes I am a woman of faith. I will do my part and no intimidation from hell and high heavens will stop me. But there is a God who works in the affairs of men. He will frustrate all the devices of the enemies of Nigeria. This baby called Nigeria will not be divided. This baby will not die. So why do Nigerians rage and the people plot a vain thing? Hahahahaha, He who sits in the heavens shall laugh! The Lord shall hold them in derision. “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” Psalm 2:1-6. Selah.
