THE MUNIMENTS OF THE ROYAL BURGH OF IRVINE If you are interested in Irvines history from the horses mouth and not mixed with the views of an academic or historian, you can look at transcriptions of original town documents online. Included in this upload are a variety of legal and other documents (including The Burgh Council records and The Book of Burgh Accounts). These cover the years from 1472 to 1783. In the early ones, the language is very difficult to understand; but if you are patient, you can make out that which is being written. The book was collated and published in 1891 by The Ayrshire and Galloway Archaeological Association. This is the 2nd Volume, I can find no reference to the first: https://archive.org/details/munimentsofroyal02irvi
