THE MYSTERY OF CHRISTMAS Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, - TopicsExpress

THE MYSTERY OF CHRISTMAS Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Father, I thank you so much for giving me your Son Jesus Christ to come into flesh, live and die on the cross for my sin. I am grateful. I pray for a better understanding of who you really are in Jesus’ name. Amen! Christmas which is the celebration of the birth of our Jesus Christ is a great mystery. The birth of Jesus Christ which believers celebrate is not really understood by many. We need to ask a few questions and investigate the person of Jesus Christ and why His birth was so crucial on this planet earth. The Bible is the oldest book ever written, and contains all the stuff we need to know about God. It’s inspired by the Holy Spirit. Let’s look at the following scriptures as a starter.: Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. In the above scripture, The Word of God is called God. This same Word came into natural existence as flesh or human being. The Word took on flesh and lived among us. The day the Word became flesh was when Jesus Christ was born. Before He was born an angel announced His birth through a the Virgin Mary; (Luke 1:26-35). Luk 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. His birth was extraordinary. That was why Jesus was not just any ordinary human being. Where was He coming from? Who was He? Jesus came from God the Father whom no man has seen before. He was with Him, seen His face, lived with Him, bears and portrays His person and image; Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Jesus Himself declared whom He was while alive on earth as follows: Joh 10:30 I and the Father are one. So in other words, Jesus was the God Word that came into the world, metamorphosed into human form through the Virgin Mary with the seed of God the Father. This is a great mystery which can never be understood by our finite human mind. It is because of the mystery surrounding this very birth of God the Son, Jesus Christ, that many religions battle it, oppose it, deny it and condemn it. It is a great mystery as the word of God says below: 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Let’s end on this note. Jesus is God who came to be born supernaturally by man. Therefore He was fully God and fully man. This is also a mystery. Now what Satan tries to do is to deny the person of Jesus so that those who will follow his lie will be condemned with him on final Day of Judgment. We are warned to be careful of the devil’s lies who deny that Jesus didn’t really come into the flesh. He is the anti-Christ. 1Jn 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1Jn 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 1Jn 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. If you believe that Jesus came as human being and receive Him you will be saved. PRAYER AND CONFESSION-I believe that Jesus is God who came into the flesh as a human being. I confess Jesus as Lord. I receive Him as my Personal Saviour. I thank you Father for the birth of Jesus and His death on the cross to redeem me from my sins
