THE NIGER DELTA CRY The biggest gainers of Goodluck Jonathan presidency are the Niger Delta militants. Asari Dokubo is living large, collecting millions each month from the federal government, established his own university in Benin republic, owns two oil vessels and also into real estate and property business, among many others. Asari Dokubo recently told the Niger Delta people that he owes them nothing, What an irony. The same people Asari Dokubo claimed to be fighting for; many years ago. Tompolo is already a billionaire, blesses with billions of naira contract from the federal government to protect the pipelines in the south south. The same pipelines tompolo and his boys sabotage at will and siphon crude whenever they desire. Tompolo and his boys only protect and secure the creeks for easy passage of oil thieves and illegal vessels lifting the stolen crude. Tompolo owes many companies and recently bought a private jet to reward his hard work. Ateke Tom is collecting billions of Naira from the federal government to keep his boys calm. Other ex-militants are touring all over the world, collecting all sorts of money in name of amnesty program. All these militants has made it clear and given a stern warning to the Nigerian people to re-elect GEJ come 2015, if not they say; Nigeria will know no peace. All these goes to show how criminality is greatly rewarded in Nigeria. The real losers are the Niger Delta people. This is not what Ken Saro Wiwa died for. Ken Saro Wiwa was offered money, power, ministerial appointment to give up the struggle, but he refused and paid with his life. Ken Saro Wiwa must be weeping in his grave. Where is Ledum Mitee? Why is he silent when he sees thugs getting personal enrichment from their struggles, making rubbish of their sweat and blood that was sheared for the Niger delta struggle. The Niger Deltans are not better of today, than under Babangida or Abacha. I cannot in heavens name understand the justification of wanton greed, personal enrichment through thuggery, kidnapping, threats and terrorism. Who will rescue the Niger Delta? The Niger Delta is threatened by everyone. Everyone takes from it, so few give back to it so little! Who will clean up the Niger Delta? Who will empower ordinary indigenous people in the Niger Delta? Who will reduce poverty in the Niger Delta? Who will ensure self determination in the Niger Delta? These were the things that Niger Delta heroes and heroines fought and died for. Where are the new heroes and heroines of the Niger Delta? Raise your voices of reason and be heard in the Niger Delta, Nigeria and internationally by people who care to listen before it is too late - for perhaps Niger Deltans. Nigerias oil is a National cake only made to be eating by the fascist, most criminal minded, most crooked, most wicked, most daring, most brutal and the most deceitful only can partake in the sharing of this cake. Nigerias economy is 90% dependent on oil for foreign income yet the only industry capable of sustaining this entity called Nigeria has been immersed in wanton corruption, mismanagement, greed, incompetence and unabated looting and stealing the Nigerias oil, all to the benefit of few. Arise Nigerians and lets save our country. Nigeria is bleeding and there is no balm to sooth its wounds. Our oil has become a curse to all Nigerians and a blessing to only few people. Who will save Nigeria and who will save the Niger Delta?
