THE NIGERIA HEALTH SECTOR: A PLACE OF DEATH. Death! not in the sense you are thinking of. It is a surprise to God and to myself how many of us believers have lost our salvation because of the feud between NMA and JOHESU, we so much have bitterness in our heart that we have become a murderer cos he that hate is fellow professional is a murderer says the bible. This writeup is actually addressed to those that have identified themselves with the Man of Calvary- The lord JesusChrist and are health care workers. I believe many of us do not really know the meaning of what it means to be a christian, what it involves, the costliness of it, and the heavy dealings it brings to every aspect and area of a mans life. I know many of us do pray lord i want to know you,i want to have more of you, i want to know Christ, i want to gain Christ, i want to conform to Christ, i want to express Christ, we even sing this desire in songs i want more of you jesus but i discover that we are not sincere and are all liars and we dont really know the meaning of what we sing and what it entails. God will not take you to the moon or heaven to know Christ,He will not carry you to a smooth place or environment to express Christ. Now how can you learn humility and to behave humbly? God can only teach you humility by putting you in a place full of pride and not in the midst of humility, thats where God wants to form the Christ of humility in you. How can you learn not to strife except by God putting you in a place and midst of intense strife. How can God teach you to honor and appreciate other people? It is by God putting you in a place where every other persons thinks other are not important and that it is only we, we that are important. Many of what we read in the bible as the VIRTUES of Christ can only be part of our life, when we are placed in conditions that is directly opposite those virtues, in their God will form Christ in you. And the Nigeria Health Sector is a crucible to a large extent to do that in us. Health professionals in Nigeria have become cat and rat that they dont see eye to eye, behind those smile to one another is that darkness inside, the darkness of ego,pride,envy,jealousy,deep rooted bitterness,animosity, fraction and blame games. But for those of us LIVING ONLY FOR JESUS,we have come to recognise that, thats where God wants to form Christ in us. The Christ that does not strife, Christ that is not proud, the Christ that appreciate others and team work, the Christ that does not feel threatened or cheated when others are rising, the Christ thats not threatened that others want to take over my work, because he knows that God has secured his lot, the Christ that sees the good in others no matter how little that good is but fot this Christ to be formed in us it takes death, it takes serious death which is not convenient. It takes death to the self life, death to ego, death to pride, death to bitterness and strife, death to the whole constitution of the natural man which is not easy, death to professional title, deat to professional status, death to playing smart etc. NMA AND JOHESU have been throwing insults at each other and many of us Christians have joined and we become a vuglar and one that uses profane language. See it is not easy to die but thats the way of ressurectional life. I have an elder brother that is a medical doctor( solak pumpy) whom i respect and my mum is a Nurse, will i now say or will he say, because of this USELESS faceoff between NMA&JOHESU, myself and him cant see eye to eye( this has happend in some quarters), i will be MAD to act like that. We have breed bitterness btw family members because of our deep rooted selfishness. Now it is not that i dont feel it when persons run down my profession as a pharmacist, i feel it but what the HolySpirit laid in my heart is that the reason why i feel it is because am attached to it, it is defining my identity and its no longer Christ that is defining my life. What God wants is that we will be in a system/profession and yet not attached to that system/profession, we will rise to the height and peak of a profession but yet you are not attached to the glory,reputation, status that goes along with that profession, we will give our best in a profession and be the best, yet we are detached from it. This is what is hard for us to take and we are loving the world. Christ alone must be the glory, reputation, status of the Christian health worker. For a Christian health worker NMA&JOHESU are not what determines our peak. IT IS CHRIST THE LORD OF GLORY. As a matter of fact my doctor brother will go very far, far in the calling of God upon his life in his profession while his mate are still grappling with NMA AND JOHESU because where God is taking him nma cannot handle it, it is bigger than what nma can offer him, if he continues with his walk with God, so also with me, if it pleases God that is in pharmacy profession He wants me to express His glory, same with all
