THE NT HAPPINESS FESTIVAL will be held at the Darwin Botanic Gardens on Wednesday 26th June. Consumers, Carers and Concession Holders will be free, general public will be free, we are asking for bigger organisations and professionals who might like to send a few staff to the event to pay a fee of $150.00 this is only to help cover our costs, we are interested in as many people as possible having an opportunity to hear some fantastic speakers and also to have a fun day mid-week this is all about wellness and positive psychology and who do you know that would benefit from this in their lives... There will be a two hour lunch break where we will be holding activities, there will be Laughter Therapy, massage, meditation, yoga, Thai chi, there will be a demonstration of the drumbeat program, there will be jumping castle and face painting for the kids. There will be stalls from many service providers, the Happy Herb Shop will be there, there will be demonstrations of art therapy and one of the most positive things is pop-up seminars, these will be 10 – 15 minute presentations by staff and volunteers of Carers NT and they will be on subjects like mindfulness, laughter, happiness, thoughtfulness, ways to have a happier you, ways to have a happier workplace and many more... for more information contact Carers NT on 89444 888
