THE NYSC YEAR! We thank God for our loved ones that got their call-up letter some weeks back, and to those still expecting theirs, we know God has perfected all! It is no longer news that every 3-4months, some corps members pass out of service& some are also called into service! The main issue now is not really being a corps member, but the outcome at the end of the service year! To some, service year was a year when destinies were destroyed, virtues traded and pearls given to swine! While for others, it was a year of discovering purpose, a time of separation unto God, a time when God revealed mysteries about their future/ministry to them and a time when He called and commissioned them! My dear corps member, how are you spending this one year? I know you are now so excited probably after waiting for a long time; but hope you are not so excited as to forget that as God has plans for you this year, the devil also does? Some corps members spend their service year messing around with different kinds of men and ladies, thereby sowing seeds of thorns into their foundation! Some that are even in godly relationships, fall into temptations and use this period to be unfaithful to their fiance/ fiancee. Why will you let one year destroy the glorious future you are to enjoy for a lifetime? So many ex-corps members today, really wish they had done things better during their service year! Dear one, now is the time you have to lay a solid foundation for the kind of future you desire. Matthew 7:6: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. My dear brother/sister in service, you can be a corps member with a difference. Use this period to work on yourself and be a better person and not sell your birthright for a morsel of meal. Get to know more of God and be involved in soul-winning. Look around you and create opportunities for success. Learn new skills. Build your career. Discover Gods purpose for your life(if you havent), and begin to walk towards fulfilling it. My brother/sister in courtship, since you have received before, please dont let lust/covetousness make you double-receive; be committed and faithful to your fiancé/fiancée; distance is not a barrier! Dont follow multitudes to do evil; remember your citizenship! BE WISE, LET THE HOLY SPIRIT BE YOUR GUIDE! Funmibi Cares but GOD CARES MORE!
