THE OLD GUARD: I was told yesterday by a man who has been in politics to long, that he wont support me in my election because of my legislation to eliminate elected local officials (such as school directors and council members) who have access to hundred million dollar budgets from also working for a state elected official in the same area where both serve. It is a direct conflict of interest. Serve on these boards to improve your schools and community, not your own lives. IF you are qualified to work in a state office then resign from your elected post and stop trying to monopolize the paying tax payer. This kind of practice is taking place right here at home. I invite the gentleman to call me out in public on MAY 1rst, during my tax reform hearing at the UofS.
