THE ONE ON WHO THE HOLY SPIRIT POWERFULLY WORKS Acts 8:25-28 Philip became a great evangelist without having any model during the early church. Nowadays, I am so used to the way of what is going on in this world. I look at those who are better off than I do; I tend of envy them and it seems I love to emulate them. In fact, I need to enter into my own prayer. I need personal prayers. I need to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Having models is great. However, God gives me strength and every good thing that can take place in me. I need to be like Philip who received the guidance of the Holy Spirit. His life is blessed and bound to heaven. When I receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and when I evangelist, then the blessing will surely follow. How can I be useful before God? First, I need to earnestly pray. Among many Christians who God choose to work, why did God choose them? Why not others? At that exact time, according to God’s plan, Philip was the best candidate. Now in this age, how may I be of used for God? The answer is; the one who has the conviction of salvation. I need to confirm the value of salvation I have received. Do I really have thanksgiving heart, regarding the salvation I have received freely from God? Sometimes; I need to remember before I had the Gospel and after I had it. My life has changed tremendously since I received the Gospel. I would have walked on the path of the religious person only if I did not happen to receive the Gospel. I therefore need to find time to confirm how valuable the salvation I have received. God always looks for those people who have this conviction. There are millions of people around me who are more intellectuals and far smarter than I am. There so many scholars and theologians searching for more knowledge. I have nothing to boast about my knowledge and education. Yet, God has chosen me to do a very privilege and special task for Him to evangelize. God calls the one who experience the walks with the living Jesus daily. I will never experience this if I am not praying for a soul and share the Gospel to the one who is next to me. When I preach the Gospel and relay this to those who need It, then I can experience the walk with the living Jesus. I can simply keep note of the people who I encounter in my daily life. Then I can pray for them to return to Jesus. God bounds to use the one who know the blessing of salvation. I have received this salvation and I live my life according the way pleasing to Jesus. For many people in the world, success and failure come to them some way or somehow. Sometimes, their good work and diligence will bring them good future. As a child of God, I know that I will surely be blessed though my life until I take my last breath. This is the assurance and confidence I have in the power of Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. When I am used by God, then the blessing will surely follow. How can I be used by God? I simply need to pray for the souls around me and preach the Gospel to them. This is the conviction I have for my salvation and the love of Jesus Christ. If I look at the example of Philip, one day he met Ethiopian stranger and a eunuch on the way, he did not hesitate, but he was ready to preach the Gospel to them. This is because he had great conviction of his salvation. He knew exactly what to do as soon as he met the souls that need salvation. With this, the souls were eternally saved through Philip. Today I proclaim, may I be used by God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and with the heart of great conviction to proclaim Gospel to all! With love and prayers.
