OPINION - EDITORIAL The October 27th election resulted in returning three long term serving councillors to City Council for the next four years. John Aker, Nancy Diamond and Nester Pidwerbecki have many years of service on City Council and their experience will have to be aimed at solving the many problems that City Council will face in the next four years. During their campaigns they mentioned job creation and high taxes as issues that they wanted to address if elected. These are also issues that other successful candidates indicated were concerns as well so it should be a sign that all will be working toward the same goals. The 2015 budget will be a good indication as to how successful they will be. HUMOUR A woman died and was met by Saint Peter at the Golden Gate. I would like to see my husband, she said. What is your husbands name? St. Peter asked. Walter Smith, she replied. Well, said St. Peter, there are hundreds of Walter Smiths here. Can you be more specific? She thought for a moment and then answered, when he was on his death bed he said he would turn over in his grave if I slept with another man. St. Peter nodded then turned to his assistant and said, take her to Whirling Walter.
