"THE PARABLE OF THE SEVEN PDP GOVERNORS" By Iyke Nwambie A couple of weeks ago, some seven governors from the ruling PDP government made news headlines when they walked out of the PDP mini convention and set up what they called the “New PDP.” They engaged the poor masses of the Nigerian nation in a frenzy of political enthusiasm, an enthusiasm that had no formidable political foundation. They claimed to be the authentic PDP even when they had no documentation from the INEC to validate that. They called the present president of Nigeria every kind of name that can only find good pastings in the books of the fiercest opposition. They danced to the gallery, they entertained the onlookers with their funny dance-steps and some of us who are not easily moved by funny dance-steps had to look in-between their legs to see if they were dancing a political disco or a political highlife…And much as we scrutinized those dance-steps, none of the steps seemed to match any particular rendition.
