THE PENALTY, POWER, AND PRESENCE OF SIN! (PART II) God is Love, 1John 4:8. God is Holy, Psalm 99:9. God is Just, Deut 32:4. The JUSTICE of GOD and the HOLINESS of GOD are the reason the LOVE of GOD alone CANNOT SAVE US! ALL SIN REQUIRES PAYMENT! The PENALTY of SIN was PAID by JESUS! Even as the Son of man came .... to give his life a ransom for many, Matt 20:28, Mark 10:45, Who gave himself a ransom for all..., 1Tim 2:6. ....while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, Rom 5:8. IT IS OUR FAITH AND JESUS WORKS THAT SAVES US! The POWER of SIN will be PAID by US! My friends when we sin, WE WILL PAY THE PRICE! SIN COSTS! It will cost us EVERYTHING EXCEPT Salvation, up to and including PHYSICAL DEATH! ..... the soul that sinneth, it shall die, Ezek 18:4. SIN will cost us our HEAVENLY REWARD, Look to yourselves, that WE LOSE NOT those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a FULL REWARD, 2John 2:8. The three things SIN does to a Christian were MANIFESTED in the life of Samson! SIN BLINDS US, But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes..., Judges 16:21. SIN ENSLAVES US, ... and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house, Judges 16:2. SIN HUMILIATES US, ..... when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport, Judges 16:25. Even through all this, Samson was saved, Heb 11:32! The reason many Christians commit sin is they have become BLINDED to the Truth of their SINS. Others, continue in SIN because they have become a SLAVE to their SINS. The reason they become HUMILIATED is because GOD has EXPOSED their SINS. He did it to Samson, David, and others. Jesus was clear, For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad, Luke 8:17. Friends, YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT! ANYONE WHO DOES NOT FEEL GUILTY AFTER COMMITTING SIN, OR TAKES PLEASURE IN COMMITING SIN, IS MOST PROBABLY NOT SAVED! The ULTIMATE DANGER of CONTINUING in SIN is YOU MAY NOT BE SAVED! Then said Jesus to those .... which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed;, John 8:31. The PRESENCE of SIN is PAID by EVERYONE! INNOCENT PEOPLE DIE AND SUFFER BECAUSE OF THE SINS OF OTHERS! This is the PUNISHMENT for MAN allowing SIN to ENTER into the World, ... IN ADAM ALL DIE..., 1Cor 15:22. SIN is COMPLICATED! It is not only about NOT doing; it is also about DOING! There is a reason God took 4000 years from Adam to Christ to deal with it! We can SIMPLIFY it for ourselves! STOP SINNING OR ELSE! Be blessed!
