THE PEOPLE PLEAD; a Larry Liza prayer poem Lord, in the days of the old when the sun rose, lit our faces The moon as bright in the night We run, sang and danced Mourned but once in a while When age took elderly home Now pain tears up our gains Hearts rendered in desolation As our beloved... plucked away Hospital beds burdened Nursing overwhelming Bills overflowing, accounts depleted Orbituaries brim the papers Garden Squares make a kill Death a booming business Lord, we your people plead When parents bury children And longevitys gray hairs hail rare Make us live and love again Bouncing babies to bended backs Where wisdoms wealth wells Fill the voids left behind Healing rain to shower our land Restore sweet songs in our souls This we pray...
