THE PHOENIX 4 PLEASE DONT LEAVE US BEHIND! Donations urgently needed to secure their space and buy them the time they need for continued rehabilitation. We do not have a facility but have a area suitable for rehab and emergencies if it can be securely fenced to meet local codes. This is something weve needed a long time. It will not be wasted when they have moved on. Now there is an urgent and pressing need. Golden Bone is a rehabilitative rescue organization. We take on severe fear and anxiety cases as well as many senior and physically compromised dogs. We do not have a formal facility and need a rehabilitative recuperation and training area. Once these babies have moved on, their space will be used for special needs, rehabilitative, and senior dogs but right now we need it for these 4 sweet Golden mixes and we need it urgently. The four dogs we rescued from the home where the owners died from liver disease and dementia are with us and need help. City and neighborhood codes require that it be no-climb privacy fencing not just chain link or farm fencing. The Phoenix Four need to be moved from their current safe haven. We have a place for them to go if we can get the area completely privacy fenced to be in compliance with city codes and for their safety, to the tune of about $2000. This needs to be done as soon as possible. PLEASE HELP US REACH THIS GOAL. PLEASE DONATE (dogadoptionrescue/index.html). PLEASE CROSS-POST. PLEASE SHARE These dogs have made huge progress since they arrived three weeks ago. When they were first taken into rescue they were completely shut down and unresponsive. They ran, cowered, and collapsed into submissive heaps on the ground. They had to be carried from place to place. Now they come running to the gate to greet visitors happily. Pollux still wont come all the way up but wags his tail in the background and will occasionally come close to people he knows and trusts. They still dont tolerate leashes and are not ready to separate from each other. We nursed Apollo through demodectic mange, Mama Venus through gravel in her belly, all of them through ear and skin infections and malnutrition. They are ready to take their next step and venture out slowly. Right now though, they are losing their space and have to be moved while we work to further rehabilitate them. We dont have many options for foster space equipped to handle four large dogs with special needs. Our quickest and most realistic option is to secure and bring up to code the available compound and small retreat room Dog Rescue Foster Adoption Spay Neuter Services | Golden Bone Rescue and Rehab Inc., Sedona, Arizona
