THE PLAN TO DEFEAT ISIS AND SECURE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. By John Merriam. Firstly, I ask you to answer, in your own mind, the following five questions yes or no: Islam is a mainstream religion, it is not a way of life that governs every facet of the adherents consciousness. Democratic principles are compatible with Islam. Democracy can be brought to Islamic countries. As the President said, It will take 30 years to defeat ISIS. If alive, it would also take 30 years for General George S. Patton to defeat ISIS. If you answered no, to all five questions, then you and I have something to talk about. ISIS can be completely defeated and on the run in less than two years, but there are some things that need to be done to realize this. The countries in the Middle East that are alarmed by ISIS need to get off the pot and pronto. Please see the map below. Egypt has no oil, but Libya has tons of the stuff. Egypts job is to move troops into Libya and subjugate the country to effect a secure supply of black gold to itself, Europe and Israel, and also to set up a secular government friendly to Egyptian and Western interests. Saudi Arabia needs to move south into Yemen and set up a friendly government there. Iran must be severely warned by all interested parties to stay out of the resulting conflicts and to immediately stop enrichment of uranium. Failure to do so would result in an immediate carpet bombing of Irans nuclear sites. Any retaliation would result in total destruction of the countrys infrastructure. The joint military command would provide the Peshmerga with the necessary supplies to allow them to control northern Iraq and some of northern Syria. In return, they do not interfere in Turkeys internal affairs and Turkey recognizes the Iraqi and Syrian Kurds as trusted allies. The USA provides sufficient ground troops to move north from Baghdad with the Iraqi army, then west into Syria alone, where they are joined with the Turkish army, who has already expressed a desire to remove Assad from office. The two countries do this with the view of total defeat of this bloodthirsty and fanatical band of psychotics. They follow the rules of war, but they dont become obsessed with it either. ISIS is driven into the Mediterranean and a secular government friendly to the West is established. I didnt say a democracy, I said a friendly government. It is the job of Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to prevent ISIS from escaping into their countries. Strict military border enforcement would be required. A friendly government would be installed in Lebanon, Hezbollah put on the run and the Gaza Strip disarmed. The current Hamas terrorist government there is defeated and banned. The Russians have a naval facility at Tartis Syria on the Mediterranean. This facility would be closed and any Russian personnel there would be sent home. This would mean that Russia would have to repair and replenish their vessels either in Russia or occupied Crimea. See the other map below: the two piers numbered 5 is where the Russian facility is located. The result of all this is that the Middle East would suddenly become stable, prosperous and manageable. A permanent American military presence would probably be required. (Perhaps up to 30 years, to quote Obama.) Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory. We herd sheep, we drive cattle, we lead people. Follow me or get out of my way. General George S. Patton
