THE POLLS ARE OPEN! THE RACE IS ON! 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. If youre not sure where to vote, call your County Clerk: Bracken County:(606) 735-2952 Fleming County: (606) 845-8461 Mason County: (606) 564-3341 Dont worry about those crazy new voting machines. There are people at the polls to help you. They think theyre crazy, too, and really dont mind helping you out. There are also paper ballots available for you to use to make things even easier. Dont worry if you find races and people you dont know about on the polls. You dont have to vote for every single race. Just be sure to vote about the ones you know about. If you vote either the Democratic or Republican ticket, PLEASE be sure to notice the races at the end of the ballot that are non-partisan, meaning that ticket voting will have no effect on them. (As my race is non-partisan, this is very important to me!) [FYI, non-partisan does not mean that the parties are neither Democrat nor Republican....it simply means that political party affiliation is not a factor for those races, and in fact is not allowed to be. All judicial races are non-partisan in Kentucky.] If you need a ride, call someone!!! Not being able to get to the polls is no excuse! If you cant find anyone else, call us at (606) 584-0083 or (606) 584-1040. We will make absolutely certain that you get a safe ride to the polls so that you can perform your civic duty! In fact, call if you have ANY questions at all about the voting process. Well do whatever we can to help. The rules state that so long as you are in line at the poll by 6:00 p.m., even if you havent made it into the building yet, you will be permitted to vote, so if youre running late, dont let a line at the polls at 5:59 p.m. scare you away! Get in the line, and youll be permitted to vote.
