THE POWER OF BELIEVING IN YOU Did you know? There was once a social experiment done in which a random FedEx driver was praised as a great Prophet by a fake made-up Cult, taken to a fake temple, put on a grand throne, with everybody bowing to him and then he was asked to utter his great Wisdom. This was done with many other FedEx drivers and every SINGLE one was able to rise up to the Moment and express amazing Wisdom. ******************************** The Buddha had a lot to offer around the detachment piece. Rumi had a lot to offer around the love piece. Jerry at the donut shoppe has a lot to offer around practicality. My friend Vanessa has a lot to offer around embodiment. Robin reminded us of the value of laughter. My favorite therapist really gets the value of a healthy self-concept. And on it goes. Lots of messengers everywhere, none of them fully realized, each offering a thread of wisdom. No need to project all-knowing onto any one individual. Without each other, just a bunch of random threads. Together, a holy weave of wisdom. - JEFF BROWN ******************************** On Thursday morning, I was doing Uzazu in the park as usual. Two men got curious about what I was doing. One of them asked me if I knew any movement that could help him with his lower back pain. I was about to say I dont know when it occurred to me that actually, I do know. So I breathed into the moment. I felt my intuition. And I asked him to follow along. And I led him through a series of movements. I asked him how his lower back was afterwards. He said he felt a lot better. He wanted to remember the movements properly because he wanted to be able to do it himself later. So, I showed him again. I also mentioned the connection between his pain and his unconscious limiting beliefs his body wanted him to be aware of. All this goes to show the power of believing in somebody. I didnt know that I could help anybody with lower back pain until I actually helped somebody who believed I could help him treat his lower back pain. This goes to show the power of people having faith in you. I believe in YOU.
