THE POWER OF PLANNING - Bishop David Oyedepo Planning is winning just as breathing is living. That is how vital planning is to any mans life. It is planning that gives value to purpose. Purpose is dead without a plan. It is planning that empowers to deliver. Purpose is impotent without a plan. A plan- less farmer will be a failure because he needs to plan in season ;there is planting plan that must be in place and there is watering plan that must also be in place to obtain good harvest. Think of it,every building begins with a plan. Any building that holds any value requires a plan. Heb 3:4. A good business must begin with good planning and that is why we have business plan. You dont grow big to manage well,you manage well to grow big. It is structural plan today that determines the grow of a business tomorrow. Most business today are victim of lack of plan or poor planing ; there is no differentiating between the income and the profit. You dont need to have accountant to be accountable. You need strategic planning to maximise your business endeavour. If you are not futuristic in your approach, you cannot earn a future. It is good management therefore that guarantee good results. Whatever farm that is not well managed is bound to fail. Good management is the key to fruit yielding capacity of every farm. Therefore, management skill is key to determine the level of result that any organisation will experience. Time not well managed must be wasted,money not well managed must be squandered. Everything that is to grow must be well managed. Praying without planning is playing without knowing, planning without programming is lost in the wilderness and programming without pursuit is dinning with the dead. That is why exploit is expensive. From planning you move to programming, from programming you move to pursuit. Prayer alone makes you a burden to God. It is prayer with planning that makes you a Co labourer with God. Prov 24:3-4;By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; 4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. The future of every enterprise is at the mercy of wise planning and the common sense execution of the plan. Life is in phases and men are in sizes. Every enterprise is build by wise planning. It is the facts at your disposal that determine the quality of your plan and that is why you must go for resources to obtain facts. You need facts! Without counsel purposes are disappointed. Prov. 15:22. So, you need insight for your purpose not to be disappointed. Only those who sit down to plan today will shine tomorrow. Prov 19:21. Failure to plan is planning to fail as it is commonly say. Dreams are bound to be aborted without planning. Therefore planning is winning. Planning is the cheapest way to avert wastage, it is a way of conserving energy,planning relief you of tension. What is Planning? - Planning is a design of step by step approach to accomplishing a set goal. - Planning is the ordering of ones priority in a bid to accomplishing a given task. - planning is a process of action in a quest to fulfil a dream. No one succeed by accident, success is a matter of luck,ask any failure. Shallow men think of luck,great men think of cost and effect. It takes sound planning to make a success in your business endeavour. What is it that make a great plan? No one reigns without the use of brain. Every gain is as a result of the use of brain. It is the use of the senses that make a star. If planning is designing a logical and rational approach towards accomplishing a given task then we can tell what the raw material for planning is. The raw material for planning is reasoning. Reasoning means engaging the act of logical,rational and analytical thinking. Every great planner must be a great thinker. It is the use of the brain that enhances the quality of our planning. Life is practical not mystical and therefore we need to give practical approach to achieve our purpose. A mystical approach to life is what makes life miserable. Every gain is traceable to the use of brain. The raw material for a great planning is reasoning or thinking and the engine room is the brain. Every dedicated thinker will always emerge a great planner. Engage your own model to create your own future. Strategic thinking culminating in strategic planning and the engine room is the brain. If you are not committed to mental work,you will end up doing menial work. E.W.Kenyon said Make the brain work,it will sweat,then it will improve,develop until it become the envy of the world. And so,there is the sweating of the brain,it is brain work that makes things work. Spirituality is not against reasoning, Jesus before answering the Pharisees had to bend down reasoning in fact as a matter of fact,spirituality enhances the quality of your reasoning faculty because you have a mind transplant i.e you have the mind of Christ. Prodigal son engaged in strategic reasoning to obtain his dignity back. He called himself to a meeting,debated on issues and came to a conclusion and he finally worked on it and his father received him back on his arm. Plan today and you will play tomorrow, play with planning today and you will suffer tomorrow. If you can think enough, what you have is enough. If you want things to really work,get start from the beginning which is planning. Without a plan you will eat up everything you have. As you engage in great planning, you will end up in great results.
