THE PRAYERS THAT WE NEVER HEARD! When our children fall sick, or when something goes wrong in their lives, have you noticed how intense our prayers become - even more intense than how we would sit down to pray for matters concerning our own self? The eyes shut, tears flowing down and curving at the corner of our lips, partly swallowing it and partly wiping it, we sit till eternity - and feel there is no distance between our hearts and the Almighty. We urge for quick recovery; we plead for easier solutions; we cry for happiness to return, for health to return, to make in order whatever is in disorder. What we often forget is that there was someone who spend such intense moments for our sake - who were in tears, who pleaded, who prayed, who suffered, just as we do, or perhaps even more. Our mothers. When we sit in prayers with our eyes shut, praying for our children, lets us open our eyes for a moment and look back at them who had their eyes shut sitting in prayers for us, and add a solemn line in our prayers for their well being, for their easy transition of life. Or, for a blessed hereafter.
